DPS Greater Noida organized a grand ‘Silver Jubilee Celebration’ on December 2, 2022 to commemorate the successful completion of 25 years of committed service to the cause of education. The mega event organized in the central lawns of the school was attended by a galaxy of eminent guests including Shri. V.K.Shunglu, Chairman, DPS Society, Ms.Vrinda Sarup, Chairperson, DPS Greater Noida, Dr. Kiran Datar, Member, DPS Society, Dr. Hari Krishan Paliwal, Advisor to the Govt of Arunachal Pradesh, Directors and Principals of DPSs and other reputed schools in Delhi and NCR, Parent Representatives, alumni and the parent community of the school.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome address by the Principal Ms. Sandhya Awasthi who expressed her gratitude to each and everyone who has been associated with the school in its fulfilling journey of 25 years and reiterated the school’s commitment to provide an enabling atmosphere to the students to flourish into responsible and upright citizens of the country. The Chief Guest Shri. V.K. Shunglu complimented the school on the landmark achievement and urged the school fraternity to carry on the legacy and reach greater heights in the years to come.
The occasion was made more special by a mellifluous musical symphony, ’Yatra- A Musical Ensemble’ that weaved together the much acclaimed and widely popular forms of music of the South, North, East and Western India that left the connoisseurs of music, asking for more. The crowning glory of the day’s programme was ‘Yatra Bharatvarsh ki’- a magnificent dance drama that took the audience on an artistic journey through India’s vast, diverse and unparalleled history, glorifying the country’s splendid contributions to the world from zero to chess, from yoga to USB.
Another major highlight of the evening was the inauguration of the History gallery by the Chief Guest Shri.V.K. Shunglu that explores the evolution of Man from the first branch of Hominidae family tree to the settled communities during the Indus valley civilization. The school also organized an impressive Art exhibition in its premises that put to display the abundant creative skills of the Dipsites through their exquisite art work including drawings paintings and sculptures.
The Silver Jubilee celebration saw enthusiastic participation of nearly 600 students from the Middle and the Senior wing of the school and was a befitting culmination of the year-long festivities that had flagged off with the Curtain Raiser Ceremony held in April, 2022.
